Biographical Note for DOUGLAS BAG

Douglas, Claude Gordon (1882–1963), British physiologist. From his laboratory at Oxford, Douglas contributed significantly to the knowledge of human respiratory function. In 1911 he introduced the large airtight bag known as the Douglas bag for use in collecting expired respiratory gases.
